For the second year in a row, Tallink Spa & Conference Hotel invited children from social welfare institutions over to celebrate the hotel’s birthday. The ‘pool party’ was organised in cooperation between the non-profit association SEB Heategevusfond (a charity foundation) and the Tallink Spa & Conference Hotel, and took place on 29 March 2009, with children from eight children’s shelters all over Estonia in attendance – more than 100 children from Pärnu, Tartu, Narva, Sillamäe, Kiikla, Tallinn and the Harju County.
Aivar Sõerd, a member of the board of Tallink Hotels, said: “Any birthday is a happy day and the perfect moment to share the joy with others. Our water park is an exciting place and children have always loved it. It was great to see so many happy children at the birthday party.” Triin Lumi, CEO of the SEB Heategevusfond, added: “SEB Heategevusfond supports the hobbies and leisure activities of children living at shelters. All children should have the possibility to have fun and laugh, and to enjoy their childhood.”
At the hotel, the children were served lunch, visited the luxurious Aqua Spa pool and sauna complex and enjoyed an entertainment programme. The celebration of the birthday together with children from children’s centres was organised in cooperation between the Tallink Spa & Conference Hotel, MTÜ SEB Heategevusfond and Interaltus OÜ.
The first birthday party of the Tallink Spa & Conference Hotel, in 2008, was celebrated together with children from the children’s shelter of the Tallinn Children’s Home and from regional children’s shelters in Pärnu, Tallinn, Narva, Tartu and Sillamäe (“Lootus”). |
